alterations
As The Wedding Dress Surgeon, I offer alterations to your already-purchased gown. I’ll take that beautiful, perfectly-selected bridal dress and fit it to you, so you can truly enjoy your special day. I can offer you a bespoke estimate after we’ve been in touch, after I’ve seen photos of the gown and when I know the designer.
Typically, the most frequently required alterations cost £250 – £450

veils
I offer a range of affordable, made-to-order veils. I have a selection of colours and lengths for you to choose from to perfectly compliment your gown. Alternatively, I offer a bespoke veil-making service with unique embellishments or matching lace( for example) to your gown. There are some exciting new techniques and designs in store for 2023, so do follow my social media channels to keep up to date.
Made-to-order veils start from £35, but are typically £75 – £250
Bespoke veils start from £100, but are typically £250 – £700

hoops & support
It’s so important to wear the right foundation garments for your fittings to be carried out correctly and to obtain the best results. The right hoop will help support the shape of your gown and allow me to pin the hem perfectly.
If you did not choose a hoop at time of purchase with your gown, I can advise you. I have a sample range to try and your own can then can be delivered in time for your second fitting.

shrugs & stoles
Winter cover ups can sometimes be essential. I have a range of beautiful, ready-to-order knitted or fabric stoles, shrugs and jackets. These have a four-week turnaround so can be delivered in time for your second fitting. I also offer bespoke cover-ups to match your gown. Typically, fabric for these needs to be ordered, so please let me know at your first fitting if you’re likely to need one. The possibilities really are endless with bespoke items, so do request a quote for your ideas.

dress cleaning
Cleaning and preserving your wedding dress should ideally be considered before you wear it. I offer a wedding dress cleaning service for £95 through a third party, with a surcharge for very soiled gowns. I then recommend (if you’re keeping your gown) to preserve it in a box from The Empty Box Company.
You can order these in a range of sizes and finishes, alternatively you can make your selection and leave it for me to order so that I can pack your garment once cleaned, steamed and aired.
